I’m a patient. I’ve had direct experience. I’m here for rehab and had 90 minutes of exposure to PT and OT in over one week. Nursing staff not much better. Several examples of medication requested taking several hours.

When my father was there, they wanted to DC him on a Friday although the place he was going to could not accept him til Monday. At their insistence we paid out of pocket for the weekend stay and then later learned that Medicare did cover his room and board for that time. Despite numerous calls to the facility billing office, we have not been reimbursed for our payment and going on 6 months I feel we are more than patient. Is this considered Medicare fraud or unethical billing practice? I just want to be treated fairly and not taken advantage of.

As a pastor, I have visited many facilities. My assessment of Patewood differs from some previous reviews I have read. The staff were extremely friendly and competent having met all my needs. Extraordinarally Clean building and well organized. Above Average Facility. Heads up to Kiki for breaking me in with a genuine love for her job.

My sister has been here over a year. I must say they have some very compassionate nurses and aides who take care of her. Lauren Steve Sue have been outstanding nurses. CNAS that have gone the extra mile Mina,Tiffany Emily. Shout out to Agape hospice for their wonderful care. Patewood is clean. I must say that every patient needs an advocate. Physical therapist Dawn is friendly and knowledgeable. Greenville library audio books has been a life saver. My sister can enjoy reading again. It’s the little things in life you appreciate when you can no longer do for yourself. Kindness goes along way.

horrible place left the walls and pictures with feces on them packed holes in the walls unpainted broken air conditioning and the fact they will threaten to call the police on you for kidnapping if you say you will call ems for your family in there when they are getting worse they do not change there patients will leave them in there own waste for hours before changing them they do not really do the physical therapy and they will just overall leave your family member helpless i recommended everyone remove there family immediately and file a report with the department of health service they should be shut down and need to be until they can get there act together they gave me a towel to change my family member and wouldn’t give me any wipes or even something to clean them up with they left waste covered bandages and stuff just worst place i could imagine do not allow your family to go here i pray for everyone in there care.

I would not allow my worst enemy to stay at this place. You share a room with another person. The CNA’s will verbally gang up on the patient. They do not look out for the well being of the patients. The one roommate my mother had, was rushed to the hospital because she wasn’t adequately taken care of. We ended up taking our mother to the hospital because the staff either didn’t care, were not trained or totally over looked my mother’s medical care. It’s a good thing we had her taken to the hospital, because it saved her life.

This is the absolute worst place to send a vulnerable human being! My husband was there for a week and was treated horribly. His ostomey bag burst in the middle of the night. He could not call nurse because his call button did not work so he got himself into a wheelchair and went to the nurses station for help. There was no one there, no staff anywhere in sight. So he sat there for TWO hours , no one ever came no staff anywhere. He finally had to go to the linen room, change his bed from a wheelchair as best he could and laid there for hours with no bag and also there was no heat in his room so he was freezing. The whole week he was there the call button was never fixed, no heat, he was told by one nurse that it was broke, which was a lie because another came in and turned it on. The nurse who told him it was broke came in and turned it off and was livid that it had been turned on, she told my husband that it could NOT to be turned on! The whole time he was there they had no ice, no heat in his room and nurses who knew nothing about osteomy bags. It was truly a nightmare. On Thanksgiving day we took him out of there. He had told the nurses that he was going check himself out for 2 days before he left. They never did anything to prepare him to leave. The doctor who he never saw didn’t call in his medication which is insulin which he has not had in 3 days, so now he have go back to hospital to get his prescriptions. Patewood post acute should be shut down! No doubt in my mind that people have died there because of lack of care.
The employees they have working here are the worst. My grandmother was admitted here on Monday and the times I have been to visit has been horrible. I am currently sitting here with my grandmother at the moment and she was asking for clear thickened lemon flavored water. I asked her nurse and she told me to go to the dining area and grab it out the fridge and if it wasn’t any there there was another location down the hall. I do not work here but trying to keep the peace I went to look for it. When I didn’t find the lemon flavored water I kindly asked the three women sitting at the front desk. None of them even made eye contact and acted as if I was annoying them and then asked why didn’t the nurse get it. By this point I am irritated I said I don’t know why she didn’t get it but I don’t work here. One of the girls finally get up and says she can’t find any but they have orange juice. I walked off and went back to my grandmothers room. My grandmother says she has to use the restroom so here I go again I go ask if anyone can assist my grandmother with going to the restroom, the nurse says she can’t go to the restroom without help and I asked her can she get cna or someone to assist, she then says no she can’t get up out of the bed to go to the restroom. I then tell my grandmother to just use it on herself and they will have to come clean her at this point. THEN A CNA COMES IN AND SAYS DID YOU ALL CALL. I said are you referring to when I hit the call button 30 minutes ago!! She walks out of the room to do what I’m not sure. I don’t know what type of training is being done here but the neglect and the LACK of decent communication is unbelievable! I don’t see how this place is rated 4 stars by medicare.

My uncle has been here for over a year now and he’s hard to deal with but the staff on the long term side have done a great job with him and I am very grateful for Angel and her team!

This place killed my father. He died this morning because this facility refused to treat open wounds he had when he was sent there for rehab and he got sepsis and died. They killed him because they don’t do their jobs. I wonder do they even care.

Patewood Post Acute is absolutely horrible. I made a terrible decision to have my mother go there after her hospital stay. THIS ONE CHOICE I WILL REGRET FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. The patient neglect is atrocious. There is no telling how many residents in their care have died because if their lack of competence. DO NOT EVER CONSIDER THIS PLACE FOR ANYONE YOU LOVE.

I TRUSTED THE SOCIAL WORKER TO ORDER MY HUSBAND A TRANSFER BENCH AND BELT WITH MY CREDIT CARD FROM AMAZON AND A LATER ANOTHER MONTH LATER ANOTHER CHARGE CAME UP FOR MERCHANDISE l DID NOT ORDER.I HAVE THE PROOF.YOU CANNOT TRUST PEOPLES TO DO THE RIGHT THING.
Because of this facility my father can longer walk. Prisoners get better care than here! This place is a sorry excuse for health care! Beware your family members might not make it out alive!

If I could give this facility 0 stars, believe me, I would. My wife has been here for a week, and both she and we have compiled a list of some of the issues at this facility. . . The staff, aside from being irresponsible with patient care, are somewhat rude when reminded of their responsibilities to each patient, which can be construed as disrespectful. . . Lack of clear communication and failure to inform patients or family members if their condition changes. . Messy rooms where surfaces are not cleaned and even the bathroom smells bad. Patients feel disconnected from their medical care or as if they are not being heard. . Lack of professionalism from the staff at this Patewood Post-Acute medical center, especially during breaks. “Even though they are on breaks, they are still responsible for the patients’ basic needs, things that cannot be seen
I was very happy at Patewood. The physical therapy and occupational therapy was top notch. They continuously encouraged you while listening to any health concerns. I went in not walking or moving and left only having to use a walker. Like anywhere that is health care related there are great people and not so great people. I found the majority of people working at Patewood were great. If there was a problem there were people there to help solve the problems. I would recommend Patewood to anyone but suggest the attitude you go in with will determine the success of your stay.
My friend is there , she had a terrible weekend .They left her on toilet 1 he never came back. She was screaming for them to no avail. Her roommate wasn’t breathing to good they both had their light for the nurse on. They were scared .I called all weekend trying to reach someone but no answer. I was there myself when they first opened up , I got excellent care idk what’s happened.
