I feel sorry for the people who falls there, very low maintence room share with another pacient, not treated with dignity, not a decent place to leave our seniors. Ladys leave alone in hallways in a wheelchair break my heart, Waiting for any kind of attention.

I have personally not been here. However, my aunt was here due to some health issues she is having and she cannot walk by herself. That didn’t matter though they were still letting her get up and walk and she ended up falling and cracking her head. Told my cousin that she may need stitches. She ended up with 19 stitches!!!! Ridiculous! Nurses should be taking care of their patients!

I’d give a zero if I could. Overall my husband did not receive the necessary care he needed. They left him sitting on his surgery site in a wheelchair for 5 hours the first day he was there. No one checked on him for those 5 hours. I don’t think anyone bothered to read his medical report., Out of numerous Nurses & CNAs there were maybe 4 who showed any compassion or even interest in his needs such as asking for water or to change his urine bag. The therapists were upset his bag was so full. They had to go find someone to empty it! One of the therapists worked with him and afterwards had my husband sit in a wheelchair telling the nurse &/or CNA to leave him in the wheelchair until my husband finished his lunch. But after the PT left my husband felt lightheaded due to low BP. Since I didn’t want him to fall out of the chair I went to ask one of the nurses to help get him back into bed. She refused to do so based on the therapists request. I explained that my husband didn’t feel bad until after the therapist left. She still flat out refused to get him into bed. I then went to the therapist to explain what was going on. She went to talk w the nurse and she caved to the nurse letting the nurse dictate the situation. I called the executive administrator and left a voicemail regarding these things. I never received a call back. The nurses did not check his BP except shift change which is every 8 hours unless I constantly bugged them. I was told since he was using the wheelchair at some point he could get his own water. They never bothered to show him where to get the water. When he used the button to ask for help it took about an hour at least for them to come into his room. They then acted like he asked them to run to the store for him! Many were Rude and showed zero compassion. He felt demoralized by them. Often they were clustered in groups chatting away. Only one male nurse acknowledged me when I came in. Before I left one might at 7:15 pm I asked if someone would please do a check on his BP as it had been running very low. I asked 1 nurse and 1 CNA. My husband called me 2 hours later and no one had yet to come in to do a reading. His low BP could cause a stroke or heart attack! I was livid. During his time there no one ever cleaned his catheter. Not once. He is now back in the hospital with a serious bacterial UTI! I blame the inadequate & deplorable care he received. I spoke with the social worker and discharge/complaint person & nothing changed. I took him out of there 10 days early. They said he complained! Darn right he did!! Do not expect your loved one to get the care they need. You must be present & advocate and even then you must insist on getting them to act & do their job. The food was atrocious. I made sandwiches, brought fruit, and friends & family also brought him decent food. Corn dogs and chili dogs are not nutritious, and much of the food looked like slop!

This facility has the poorest care from nursing staff. The physical therapist are amazing. The care Staff does hide their disdain when a patient needs help with a task. It’s a shame. My sister in laws care was not up to standards they claim to have again except for the excellent care from the Physical Therapy department

When my father was there, they wanted to DC him on a Friday although the place he was going to could not accept him til Monday. At their insistence we paid out of pocket for the weekend stay and then later learned that Medicare did cover his room and board for that time. Despite numerous calls to the facility billing office, we have not been reimbursed for our payment and going on 6 months I feel we are more than patient. Is this considered Medicare fraud or unethical billing practice? I just want to be treated fairly and not taken advantage of.

As a pastor, I have visited many facilities. My assessment of Patewood differs from some previous reviews I have read. The staff were extremely friendly and competent having met all my needs. Extraordinarally Clean building and well organized. Above Average Facility. Heads up to Kiki for breaking me in with a genuine love for her job.

My sister has been here over a year. I must say they have some very compassionate nurses and aides who take care of her. Lauren Steve Sue have been outstanding nurses. CNAS that have gone the extra mile Mina,Tiffany Emily. Shout out to Agape hospice for their wonderful care. Patewood is clean. I must say that every patient needs an advocate. Physical therapist Dawn is friendly and knowledgeable. Greenville library audio books has been a life saver. My sister can enjoy reading again. It’s the little things in life you appreciate when you can no longer do for yourself. Kindness goes along way.

horrible place left the walls and pictures with feces on them packed holes in the walls unpainted broken air conditioning and the fact they will threaten to call the police on you for kidnapping if you say you will call ems for your family in there when they are getting worse they do not change there patients will leave them in there own waste for hours before changing them they do not really do the physical therapy and they will just overall leave your family member helpless i recommended everyone remove there family immediately and file a report with the department of health service they should be shut down and need to be until they can get there act together they gave me a towel to change my family member and wouldn’t give me any wipes or even something to clean them up with they left waste covered bandages and stuff just worst place i could imagine do not allow your family to go here i pray for everyone in there care.

I would not allow my worst enemy to stay at this place. You share a room with another person. The CNA’s will verbally gang up on the patient. They do not look out for the well being of the patients. The one roommate my mother had, was rushed to the hospital because she wasn’t adequately taken care of. We ended up taking our mother to the hospital because the staff either didn’t care, were not trained or totally over looked my mother’s medical care. It’s a good thing we had her taken to the hospital, because it saved her life.

This is the absolute worst place to send a vulnerable human being! My husband was there for a week and was treated horribly. His ostomey bag burst in the middle of the night. He could not call nurse because his call button did not work so he got himself into a wheelchair and went to the nurses station for help. There was no one there, no staff anywhere in sight. So he sat there for TWO hours , no one ever came no staff anywhere. He finally had to go to the linen room, change his bed from a wheelchair as best he could and laid there for hours with no bag and also there was no heat in his room so he was freezing. The whole week he was there the call button was never fixed, no heat, he was told by one nurse that it was broke, which was a lie because another came in and turned it on. The nurse who told him it was broke came in and turned it off and was livid that it had been turned on, she told my husband that it could NOT to be turned on! The whole time he was there they had no ice, no heat in his room and nurses who knew nothing about osteomy bags. It was truly a nightmare. On Thanksgiving day we took him out of there. He had told the nurses that he was going check himself out for 2 days before he left. They never did anything to prepare him to leave. The doctor who he never saw didn’t call in his medication which is insulin which he has not had in 3 days, so now he have go back to hospital to get his prescriptions. Patewood post acute should be shut down! No doubt in my mind that people have died there because of lack of care.
